Kirkby Malzeard Pre-School Fees
We recommend that you contact Kirkby Malzeard Pre-School directly to discuss fees and government funding options. We have tried to give an overview of the options available to parents, below:
We will always be transparent regarding our fee structures and will inform you in advance if we need to review our fee structure to ensure the longevity and sustainability of Kirkby Malzeard Pre-School. The level of fees is determined by the management committee and is reviewed annually in April.
The fees are payable half termly in advance. Please note, a minimum of half a term’s notice is required should you wish to withdraw your child from Pre-School.
Fees must still be paid if children are absent without notice for a short period of time. If your child has to be absent over a long period of time, please talk to Tracy Sidgwick.
When your child starts at Pre-School, we will ask you to sign a parental agreement, which details which sessions your child will attend and the associated fees for this. For your child to keep their place at the setting, you must ensure that fees are paid.
From April 2024, the DfE will continue with the existing early years funding (15 hours per a week 3 & 4 year olds - for some this may be 30 hours depending on criteria - and for some 2 year olds) whilst also adding in new working parent entitlements, for children aged 2 years from April 2024, and 9 months and above from September 2024.
Any additional hours will then be charged at the rates shown below:
2 year old and above £4.90 per hour
Under 2 year old £5.40 per hour
We offer wrap around care, which currently runs from 8am until 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4.30pm on a Friday, (please ask if you require anything different). Current fee is £4.70 per hour (pro rata) or may be used as part of your 15/30 hours funding entitlement.
Most parents are eligible to get help with their childcare costs through the Government scheme ‘Tax Free Childcare’ – please look on www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
